We go fishing in the dark

Last night for family home evening we went to the park in Boulder City to go fishing and have a BBQ! The kids all had a blast just holding the rods. Dominic told me they were not called fishing poles, they were fishing rods. That led us to a discussion on synonyms. Oh my. What am I going to do with this kid.
(No fish were harmed nor caught during this expedition!)

Pictures are great! We all had a good time! I told everyone, including the 4th grade reading groups about the pole/rod story. That still amazes me. It must be because his grandma is a literacy specialist.:)
Hey Utah cousins, I bet you can't wait to get down here and do some real "Nevada" fishin'!!!

I love that park! We just went to feed the ducks there a few days ago, but I didn't even take pictures.
How fun that your whole family gets together like that. I need to drag my parents out of their house every once in a while!

That's neat that you guys do big family nights together. And what a fun activity. My kids would love fishing with their grandparents.

So, what do you have coming up this week? We need to get together badly!! Or is it bad? I'm nervous now knowing your Mom is reading this & is a literacy specialist!!
