Fun in Utah

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Utah visiting Lori and Earl and the cousins! Dominic was very helpful in preparing for the trip. We were getting ready to leave and he decided that "Sissy hold snacks" so he piled up all the snacks around her bouncer seat. I love how the huge Gatorade made it dangling by her head!
On Saturday, we went to the farm at Thanksgiving Point. Dominic liked the animals, but he was most excited to ride the ponies. He got to ride them twice. It was pretty cool. There were all sorts of animals - cows, pigs, horses, peacocks, goats, everything imaginable on the farm. The little baby calves kept licking Sophie, it was so cute. Dominic wasn't into petting the animals that much.

Frehner Family Fun!

Brad finished his first year of grad school earlier this week by taking his last final exam! Yippee! So for three whole weeks we have him home at night and not in the back room glued to the computer or text books! We are getting in all the fun and excitement we can before he returns to being the school slave that he is.
On Friday we went to the water park at Mission Hills. It was so nice to spend some time together as a family. Dominic loved the water, of course.

Up to my eyeballs in laundry

Okay, so I have this mystery I have yet to solve in my humble 4.5 years of marriage. How does my house get so messy? I mean, I'm a clean person. I do housework like a madwoman at various hours of the day (I do my best cleaning at about 10:00 p.m.)
Well, I've discovered why I'm up to my eyeballs in laundry lately. There are three perpetrators. 1. Brad - He has clothes for work, play, working out and church (I've attempted to combine the work and church wardrobes without much luck). The common denominator, no matter what, they end up on the floor.
2. Jade - The poor girl spits up so much that no outfit lasts more than a couple of hours, even with a bib, burp rag, etc. We use receiving blankets for burp rags! I gues she is just prepping me for when she is in junior high and needs a new outfit everyday:)
3. And finally, you guessed it, Dominic. He really likes to dress himself. He likes to wear sweaters, mismatched pjs, anything Elmo, anything with a moving, loud thing on it (helicopter - "choppa, chop" airplane, jeep (which he thinks is "Pappa's Rhino")
Last night, he thought he would sample something from his Dad's designer collection!
P.S. I had to throw in Dominic's amazing ability to stcik three pacifiers in his mouth and Jade…because she's cute!

Rolly Poley

Jade rolled over on Wednesday! She loves to lay on the ground and roll over then prop herself up.

OCDominic

Oh boy, the OCD tendencies keep rearing their crazy little heads! Lately, Dominic wants to get dressed as soon as he gets up. This has put a little kink in our bath taking schedule because he doesn't want to take a bath, he just wants to get dressed. So, I've been letting him. With two kids, I'm all about letting D be a little independent. I think it is good for his character. I just have to laugh when he insists on were sweaters when it is like 90ยบ outside. Last week, he thought it would be a good idea to wear his sweater in the "cold wadder." He soon learned that no matter how thick the sweater, it wasn't going to help the "wadder" become warmer.
Today was my absolute favorite. After an afternoon of playing with his cousins, Dominic was a little worn out. He fell asleep on the floor with his "snowman" and Sissy's blingn pacifier. Ah, the blackmail pictures:)
